Purpose

As the Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst you will be accountable for ensuring the provision of performance reports and dashboards to the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Tableau and Excel to support dashboards and reporting
• Develop dashboards and reports Communicate technical information and data interpretation to non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand dashboard and reporting requirements
• Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau
• Produce reporting on a timely basis in line with reporting deadlines
• Monitor the performance of Tableau dashboards
  
  

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

• Understanding of finance systems, financial reporting and accounting principals
• Proficiency in the use of PostgreSQL databases including views, stored procedures, query optimization techniques, triggers, and variables
• Proven proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau and Excel with an understanding of good design principles
• Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and timely delivery
• Knowledgeable in basic data governance and management to sustain and maintain best practices to underpin quality outcomes
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Very good communication skills
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field 2+ years of work experience in a BI data reporting or analyst role
• Experience in the insurance or finance industry will be viewed favorably.
