Your role - Software Engineer (Quality)

We’re looking for a Software Engineer (Quality) to join our team in Manila, Philippines. NetSuite's Application team develops solutions for core enterprise processes such as payments, account receivables, accounts payables and many others to allow customers to run their business smoothly and efficiently. While this may sound simple, our customers’ needs vary widely, and our code base is complex. The NetSuite solution is written in Java, with Oracle DB as the main persistence layer. The UI uses internal JavaScript framework. In this role, you will have plenty of opportunities and room to innovate, become a better engineer, and an engineering leader. We know, it's exciting!

This role is for someone who wants to be involved with all phases of the testing process: planning, automation, and investigation. We'd like you to be passionate about clean code, quality, and SOLID principles. You should be proficient in writing automation tests, able to scrub and file any issues in your product area, as well as designing and executing test plans. If you want to work in an agile environment with continuous integration, pair programming and TDD practices, our team would be a phenomenal fit.

What You'll Do

• Use existing methods and best practices in software industry to create features and platforms with the highest level of security, reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
• Analyze potential customer workflows and scenarios, investigate and reproduce customer-reported issues and resolve them as per defined service level agreements.
• Validate and certify peer engineers' work to achieve high-quality product.
• Prepare, develop, and execute test plans and test cases.
• Design and develop test automation including Unit, Functional, Performance and Scalability tests.
• Develop and implement guidelines, strategies and solutions geared toward achieving the quality goals efficiently and improving overall product quality.
• You will work closely with other development teams, testing/automation teams, product management, and UX to define and implement product offering while ensuring the continued functionality of the existing ERP system
  
  
  

Your Qualifications And Skills

• At least a Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent
• 4+ years of software testing experience with a proven track record of automation using different frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, Mockito, Mocha
• 4+ years of experience with Java or other similar Object-Oriented programming languages
• Good familiarity with code coverage and continuous integration
• Intimate understanding of modern web applications and extensive experience with database-driven applications such as SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experienced with any test case management system and tool (e.g. JIRA Xray)
• Excellent communicator in both technical and non-technical contexts
• Great problem solving skills
