Key Responsibilities: 

1. Month-End and Year-End Close Process: 

• Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 

• Perform account reconciliations and prepare journal entries as needed. 

• Maintain proper documentation and records to support financial reporting and compliance. 

2. Financial Reporting and Analysis: 

• Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, by compiling and validating account information. 

• Conduct a monthly review of the company’s general ledger for accuracy and completeness. 

• Generate detailed monthly financial reports for review by the Fractional CFO, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making. 

3. Transaction Management and Oversight: 

• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate postings. 

• Ensure the accurate recording of all cash receipts and cash disbursements on a daily basis. 

• Verify the complete and accurate posting of all payroll information. 

• Supervise the timely and accurate posting of all transactions in QuickBooks Online. 

4. Team Leadership and Supervision: 

• Manage and provide guidance to the Junior Accountant, ensuring their development and productivity. 

• Review and validate the work completed by the Junior Accountant, ensuring accuracy and compliance. 

• Ensure all receipts have been collected and all expenses in QuickBooks Online have receipts and necessary documentation attached. 5. Reconciliations and Internal Audits: 

• Reconcile all bank accounts and other key accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy. 

• Ensure proper internal controls and adherence to accounting policies and procedures. 

• Assist in internal audits and resolve any discrepancies found during the reconciliation process. 

6. Tax Preparation and Compliance: 

• Prepare and submit Texas sales tax returns accurately and on time. 

• Provide the CPA with necessary documentation to complete property tax, IRS, and franchise tax returns. 

• Assist with audits, reviews, and inquiries from tax authorities and other regulatory bodies. 

7. Budgeting and Financial Planning: 

• Collaborate with the leadership team to develop the company budget. 

• Analyze actual-to-budget comparisons and provide variance explanations. 

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal control systems to ensure financial integrity and minimize risk. 

8. QuickBooks Online Expertise and Process Improvement: 

• Serve as the go-to QuickBooks expert, resolving system-related issues and answering queries. 

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. 

• Ensure the effective use of QuickBooks features and functionalities to optimize financial reporting and transaction management
