The Opportunity?

We’re looking for a passionate, articulate, collaborative and highly motivated Software Architect to join our team. You’ll be responsible for creating and optimizing cloud-based and enterprise architectures allowing our clients fully benefit from our Digital Business Platform. You will be a trusted advisor serving clients and engineering teams and be active in the design and delivery of our solutions.

The role

• Understand the strategies and business requirements of our clients
• Design scalable and robust software architectures based on microservices/cloud services
• Consult our clients on the use of best practices regarding cloud services
• Support software engineering teams in implementing your architectures
• Collaboratively develop best practices within architecture and engineering
• Contribute to our technology strategy for our product roadmap

You should possess:

• A Third level qualification in Computer Science or equivalent
• A minimum of 7-years’ experience in software engineering in in Java and associated Spring Stack, CI/CD, Maven, containers (Docker, K8S) and clouds (AWS, GCP or MS Azure)
• Design suitable architectures and clearly articulate the benefits/weakness of a specific approach; then work with the team to deliver it.
• The ability to quickly gain trust of people in various roles and positions due to your technical and social skills
• The ability to inspire others by your ideas
• Strategic thinking and a strongly collaborative approach to getting things done
• Excellent programming skills
• A bias towards action
• Passion for and deep understanding of current trends in software engineering (Cloud Services, Serverless, Microservices, DevOps, Continuous Deployment, Cloud native technologies)
• Angular 8+ experience an advantage
